Every city has an incredible story. In the busiest corners you will find faith ,hope and traditions. By chance I discovered an incredible place. Hidden in the bustling city of Bangalore. Where traditions fights to survive. This is the heart and soul of traditional printmaking.
The Venkatesh family is fighting for survival against the modern ways of printing.
We have to save this incredible story and share it with the people.
This man is battling on to save 3 generations of faith hope and love.
Do not let it disappear or we may never see it again.
This is their plea to you help me tell their story in the forgotten places in the world.
Back in the past print makers were often treated like royalty. Completion of an art work is so often regarded as an offering to their gods. Modern methods and technology has in a way improved our work flow. But for a more personal and traditional approach print works are best done manually. I wish to highlight the slow death of print makers in Asia. Soon there would be none to continue their craft.
Faith hope love and traditions all co-exsist in the traditional world. This is where culture is born.
